Detach stands the rig down and keeps every machine where it is;
Delete clones removes them.
Move one unit by hand and it stays where you put it, reported as off the
array with a Re-apply offered. Hand trim survives until you ask for it not
to.
Change the column, row or unit count to resize by the numbers. Survivors keep
their offsets and nothing moves — and on a ring driven even, changing the
count re-divides the sweep so the circle still closes.
Delete a unit, or drag one out of the rig’s folder, and if that would tear the
grid you are asked once: stand the whole array down, or abandon the edit. It is one question
because it is one decision.
Standing down keeps the folder. The blend group goes; the scene group holding
the machines — which you may have renamed — stays.
