11.11 Exporting
Export PDF writes the report: paper size and orientation, 150 or 300 dpi, an optional summary page, and a title block on every sheet.
Every block is re-drawn for the export at print quality — 3D views and diagram blocks are re-captured, and text, schedules, rack elevations and blend-array tables come out as vector text you can select and search, at the size and position they occupy on the sheet.
The on-screen composition frame and the PDF crop are computed by the same rule from the same view-projection matrix, and a block’s frame is a fraction of the page rather than a set of millimetres that could be rounded differently twice. What the orange frame contains is what the block contains; what the sheet shows is what the paper gets.
The title strip is signed Throwcast — the mark, the name, a hairline, then your project — drawn in vectors so it stays sharp beside vector type. Putting a studio’s own logo there is a paid-tier feature and the tier does not exist yet, so the control that used to set one is gone; a document that already carries a logo keeps it.
A page inspector still offers Notes, which prints on a continuation page after the sheet — and older projects may carry the per-page metrics and overlap tables, which still print the same way though nothing now switches them on. All three date from before a page could hold anything but one view. Blocks cover them better: a text block, a schedule or a blend array sits where you put it, at the size you chose, rather than on a page the layout has no say over. They stay only because turning them off would silently shorten every report that uses them.
