The shortcuts

Table 12.1 Shortcuts, all handled in the 3D viewport.
KeyAction
Ctrl+ZUndo — works in every mode
Ctrl+Shift+Z / Ctrl+YRedo
W or GGizmo → move
EGizmo → rotate
RGizmo → scale
QTransform space: world ↔ local
XSnapping — 0.1 m translate, 15° rotate
OOrthographic ↔ perspective
FFrame the selection
EscStep out one level: annotation → tray point or stretch → waypoint → cable → object
Del / BackspaceDelete the most specific thing held: annotation → tray point or stretch → waypoint → cable → object

The two ladders climb the same rungs. On a tray, Delete takes the point (and every stretch touching it) or the stretch you have hold of — and if that stretch was the only path across the network, the tray splits into one object per piece. Esc first if you meant the whole tray.

Annotation tools

KeyAction
X / Y / ZLock the second point to a world axis; press again for the anchor object’s own axis; a third time clears it
AltHold to suppress snapping
EscAbandon the measurement, then put the tool away
EnterCommit a callout (Shift+Enter for a new line)

A report sheet

While a sheet is up it owns the keyboard, exactly as the sketch editor does — the viewport’s shortcuts stand down, because there is no viewport on screen to aim them at. Undo and redo are the exception: they belong to the app.

KeyAction
Ctrl+DDuplicate the selected blocks, offset and on top
Arrow keysNudge the selection — Shift for ten times the step
Del / BackspaceDelete the selected blocks
EscClose a text editor, then clear the selection
Ctrl+scrollZoom the sheet

Inside a framing session (§11.4) the viewport is back and so are its keys, including the annotation tools above.

The sketch editor

While the editor is open it owns the keyboard, so none of the shortcuts above fire — which is why the strip in the bottom-left corner changes to these:

KeyAction
V L P R S CSelect · line · polyline · rectangle · square · circle
MThe ruler, out and away again — the pen comes back, the drawing stays open
AThe angle: an arm, the corner, the other arm. Tab swaps inner for outer
EscStep out one level: put the ruler away, or finish the gesture, then back to Select, then leave the editor
EnterFinish an open polyline run where it is
TabTake the size readout, and move between a rectangle’s two sides
a digitTake the size readout, starting the number with what you pressed
Shift / Alt + a box dragAdd to / remove from the selection
AltHold to draw off the grid
Del / BackspaceDelete the selected dimension, or the selected curves

Move, rotate and scale have no keys in here: W, E and R are the pen’s, R being Rectangle. The three buttons on the left rail are how you switch between them while a drawing is open.
